Here at Journeymate Wesleyan, we have a wide spread of opportunities that we coordinate throughout the year. Early in our ministry we started with a small Bible study group which eventually grew into a community of believers pouring outreach into the town of Bloomsburg. Pastor Tom Carney started praying of how God would use a small little Bible study group to impact the town of Bloomsburg, which over the past few years, God has shown His hand move in some miraculous ways and has led the once small little Bible study group into a outpouring ministry hub for ministries such as prison ministry, Celebrate Recovery, women's ministry, men's ministry, and many more special events we hold throughout the year.
One of our first big community ministries was something that Bloomsburg had not had in a very long time, which was the annual Christmas dinner. Through the resources of the late Janice Labour, who was a diligent servant of the community especially through the Salvation Army, Journeymate was able to bring the annual ministry of the Christmas dinner back to the town of Bloomsburg resulting in many people coming to learn about Jesus Christ and His plan for salvation. Journeymate Wesleyan looks forward to the coming years of hosting the annual Christmas dinner and providing free meals to those in need and showing them the true meaning of Christmas.
Every year we are continuing to add more events and as our community of believers grow, each individual continues to bring even more ministries through the gifts God has provided them. As we look forward to the coming ministries we are planning, we invite you to join in where you feel called by God to play a part in furthering the kingdom of God and touching the lives around us.
